What a shame that propaganda is being set here. Eritrea has the oldest church in Africa outside of Egypt, build by the first bishop of Aksum Abba Salama. This predates Ewostatewos by 1000 years... It's funny how the Amhara cultural group constantly utilizes Tigrayans and Eritreans as a qualifier for their non-existent history before the late middle ages
To quote the Eritrean Tewahedo Church: “Abune Ewostatiwos is known to be the father of all monks in Eritrea. Meaning they started the monastic life by forming monasteries in the country.”
You may not like it, but before St. Ewostatewos the Amhara blessed Eritrea with their presence, it had no indigenous monastic movement.
No, that’s not true just because they say it Don’t mean it’s always true because abune libanos started monastic movements in Eritrea. What you said about Bizen has nothing to do with mizen… Abba absadi was from Eritrea he met with ewostatewos there just like other pupils who than established other monasteries.
Also, Ewostatewos was from Tsira, Enderta. A region within Tigray province... Nice try attempting to erase an ancient culture's impact on creating Ethiopia
You may disagree with this guy, but one thing I find extremely irritating and infuriating about online discussion is somebody says something, and they cite evidence, and people respond to it saying "Lies, propaganda, this that"
The man provided linguistic data. Refute the data with other linguistic data. Prove that ቢዘን is not just an Amharic word. Show that ዓስር was in common usage among Tigrayans and Eritreans. Because word choice really does matter. The fact that he was born in Enderta changes things, but it is not a definitive refutation. An Amhara can be born in Tigrayan land. A Tigrayan can be born on Amhara land. You'll probably ignore this or respond with a sour-ass comment lol
What a troll, lol! This account magically came into existence just to respond this this comment? Lol! Keep trying to steal history that's well documented as Tigrayan and Eritrean Kebessa. I encourage all readers here to explore the extensive evidence available even with these references provided who this saint was. The author is an Amhara ethnic nationalist as is evidenced by his Twitter account. Even fake accounts like Johnny Bravo can't change science, lol!
Keep up the good work, brother. It would be great if all your X threads were available here.
